Guidelines for students in four Years Under Graduate Programme in CBCS SYSTEM
1. A student has to appear in both the Semester Examinations in an academic year.
2. Any student who has given the Internal Assessment Examination and cleared all Credits in First Semester.
Or
If a student who has given CIA examination and sent-up but not cleared all the credits of Semester-1, will also move on to Semester-II:
NOTE: If a student has been awarded Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) marks and fulfils sent-up conditions and has not cleared/ not appeared in the End Semester-1 Examination’s paper/papers will be failed in that/those papers. Such students are also be entitled for admission in Semester-II.
Here sent-up for End Semester Examination refers to those candidates who have a minimum 75% attendance in each Course/Paper separately.
4. A student can be promoted to Semester-III only if he/she has attended all Courses in Semester-I and Semester-II as a regular student and sent-up for the Semester-II Examination. The student must have earned at least 28 Credits of Semester-1 and Semester-II taken together in MJC, MIC, MDC, AEC, and VAC.
5. A student can be promoted to Semester-IV from Semester-III, if he/she has attended all courses in Semester III as a regular student and sent-up for Semester-III examination.
6. A student taking admission in Semester-V must have attended all courses in Semester IV as a regular student and sent-up for End Semester-IV Examination. Also, the student must have earned total credit of I and II Semester and also at least 68 credits of Semester I, II, III and IV taken together in MJC, MIC, MDC, AEC, SEC and VAC.
7. A student can be promoted to Semester-VI from Semester-V if he/she has attended all courses in Semester-V as a regular student and sent-up for the Semester V examination.
8. A student taking admission in Semester VII, must have attended all courses in Semester-VI as a regular student and sent-up for the End Semester- VI Examination. The student must have earned total credit of III and IV Semester and also at least 108 credits taken together in MJC, MIC, MDC, AEC, SEC, VAC and Internship.
9. A student taking admission in Semester-VIII, must have attended all courses in Semester -VII as a regular student and sent- up for the End Semester- VII Examination.
10. The Final result will be published only after the student has cleared all 160 credits.
11. Three more academic years can be given to clear all 160 credits.
